I write on behalf of my long-term friend Tanya who has also been a member of my community. I recommend her in the role of house sitter & pet minder & can think of no one more capable & caring to achieve this role. I have known her & her family for over 25 years. She was raised in Far East Gippsland & grew up learning the responsibilities & skills that come with country living. Being practical & responsible is an essential way of life that Tanya knows & embodies deeply. As Adults we lived as neighbors, where I witnessed her caring, responsible & capable nature. We grew vegies in the community garden & I would often visit. Her rabbit, Squiffy & my dog Boris incidentally became very good friends. It was a unique experience to witness! Tanya was wonderful in caring for Squiffy & her house. Every day he lived his best life. Occasionally playing in the veggie garden on warm days while we would work together weeding & growing our food in a wholesome productive partnership. Tanya loved to cook & her house was always clean, tidy & a cosy place to visit. Tanya has gone through some of the most horrendous & challenging physical & health challenges since I have known her & I have always admired her strength & fortitude to keep trying everything she can to improve her quality of life. She never gives up on having as full a life as she can. I am deeply grateful to call her my friend, & she continues to inspire me to be brave & committed on my own journey. I can whole-heartedly recommend her in the role of house & pet sitter. I can honestly say if you leave her with your home & beloved animals, you can rest easy knowing all will be well taken care of. Not only will she remember to care for your pets’ basic needs but she will also give that extra loving care to ensure that they feel happy & safe & your home remains clean & tidy. I have known Tanya for 32 years & on numerous occasions she has looked after my Tonkinese cat while we have been away. I know her to be a trustworthy & reliable person in our home & she loves all animals. She will definitely be asked to re-sit my cat Narla.

We had the pleasure of having Tanya look after our Fur Babies Meiko (Rag doll 8 years) & Junior (Australian cattle dog 5 years) Tanya was very nice to talk to over the phone before we met in person. When we met Tanya arrived on time and I was greeted with a warm genuine smile and felt comfortable explaining everything that needed to be done. Tanya sent updates and photos daily which was so nice and even went to the trouble of getting some knots out of Meikos fur. Tanya also walked our dog Junior and didn’t mind that they would sometimes sleep on her bed. When we arrived home I asked if Tanya could meet us for the key exchange which was no trouble for her. Again we were greeted with a warm smile and a clean house with washed and folded sheets, doona cover. Tanya also went to the trouble of leaving some flowers from our garden on the table. Which was a beautiful touch. We wouldn’t hesitate with having Tanya back again as we know our home & fur kids were in the best hands. Thank you again Tanya for doing a wonderful job housesitting.
